Windy City Debut

This past weekend the band made it's Grade 5 competition debut at the Midwest Pipe Band Championships held by the Midwest Pipe Band Association and Chicago Scots during the Chicago Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Itasca, IL.

You couldn't have asked for a better day in the Windy City with a high of 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Our band mates put on one heck of a first performance and made a ton of new friends along the way. We can't thank the MWPBA and Chicago Scots enough for such a wonder event and we are already looking forward to next year!

Tunes: Balmoral, Cutting Bracken, At Long Last, Aros Park

Adjudication Scores:

Piping Judge Alex MacIntyre - 5th Place

Piping Judge Brian Donaldson - 4th Place

Drumming Judge Duncan Millar - 3rd Place

Ensemble Judge Bob Worrall - 7th Place

Overall Placing:

5th out of 12 Bands

Best Grade 5 Bass Section

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped us on our journey so far. We've got our first contest jitters out of the way and know what we need to work on. This is only the beginning!
