This December, our family at the legendary Bog & Barley will be hosting their inaugural Barrel Pick event that will also play host to an amazing silent auction benefitting our organization!
On Thursday, December 7th, prepare to indulge in a journey where each sip and sound supports the cultural arts in our beloved city. As the guardians and promoters of Celtic musical tradition in the Mid-South, we at the City of Memphis Pipe Band are proud to champion an event that directly contributes to our educational, performance and competitive endeavors.
The crescendo of the evening will be a silent auction, with proceeds dedicated to nurturing the craft that forms the very beat of our organization's heart. The selection of exclusive items on the block is curated to pique the interest of collectors and enthusiasts alike. Fear not, if you cannot grace us with your presence at Bog & Barley; the spirit of the event extends beyond the physical venue. The silent auction goes digital starting Friday, November 24th.
This virtual extension ensures you have a front-row seat to the bidding right from the comfort of your homes. The digital hammer falls at 8:30 pm on the event day, so set your reminders to cast your final bids before the night concludes. *Please note that the online auction link will be active from November 24th. Join us for our Inaugural Barrel Pick Night in Bog & Barley's Whiskey Lounge on Thursday, Dec. 7. Those in attendance receive a bottle of Bog & Barley’s Inaugural Whiskey ($75 retail value) and commemorative glassware.
The event includes:
5:30 p.m.: Cocktail hour featuring a curated cocktail menu that includes our barrel pick begins.
6:45 p.m.: Dinner commences. Throughout dinner, there will be a number of product-related presentations.
8:30 p.m.: A silent auction benefiting Memphis Pipe Band, a traditional bagpipes and drum band, closes. It launches online prior to the event on Friday, Nov. 24.
8:30 p.m.: Limited open-bar service begins. Enjoy a complimentary cask-aged high gravity beer from Soul & Spirits Brewing.
Tastings of Old Dominick Limited Releases will be available after dinner.
Four-course menu:
First: Roasted Butternut Squash | crispy rashers, sage butter
Second: Roasted Bone Marrow and Scallops | toasted sourdough, pickled mustard seeds, greens
Third: Pan Roasted Duck Breast | Irish champ, charred artichokes, red wine duck jus
Fourth: Irish Cream Cheesecake | toasted pecans, caramel, chocolate
